Wednesday afternoon, we headed into Bar Harbor. We took advantage of the Island Explorer, which is a free shuttle service sponsored by L.L. Bean that covers Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, and Acadia National Park. We popped our bikes on for our ride in the park on Tuesday.

Bar Harbor is a great little town for boutique shops, live music, and waterfront walks. We enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner at the Reading Room at the Bar Harbor Inn. A most entertaining part of this outing was the driver of our Island Explorer on the way home. She commented extensively on the route, the destinations, and most comically, several of the passengers after they departed at each stop.
Here are some shots around town:

Bonus content:
There’s a lack of golfing opportunities in this area, so, when E suggested we hit the local mini-golf course on Thursday morning, I was in.

Not that we’re too competitive, but we each took our own putters and balls. I argued strongly for strokes given our handicap differential, but the commissioner called for a gross stroke play tournament. We tied for first place, which meant going back again on Friday morning to play the other 18 for a tie-breaker. E trounced me. I didn’t expect to put my ball in the water so much in mini-golf. π
