E – “Cleveland Rocks”

Our last destination visit was Cleveland. When I was first planning the route we needed at least one break between Nashville and home and I saw Cleveland and said gotta go…Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame!

It was really good. I saw something pertaining to so many of my favourites, some are in the hall some are not but they are part of other displays.

The first thing you see when you get in…the original awning from CBGB’s in the Bowery in New York. I have been to the location which was purchased by designer John Varvatos and he has kept some of the interior in its original form/shape. The bands that played there were the who’s who of punk/new wave….Patti Smith, Ramones, Television, Blondie, Talking Heads, The Damned, Elvis Costello, The Police and a host of others.

The exhibits below are a sampling of what we saw.

All in all a great last place to visit on an amazing trip!
