Seriously, Hilton Head National RV Resort and Cottages is treating us well. Our first clue was the escort to our site and guidance backing in (thankfully, relieving me of my usual duties). It’s a gated community, with impeccable grounds. The site has a concrete pad with a nice wooded area behind us. The resort clubhouse offers pickleball, a heated swimming pool, a lazy river, a hot tub, a Tiki bar, and a restaurant. If we had a dog, we could let it play in the gated dog park, and follow it up with a visit to the polished-granite, dog-washing house. π
Funny aside: We’ve never been able to get our TV cable working. It wasn’t a high priority because our streaming services work. However, this resort advertised over 170 premium channels available. Ian thought this would be a good opportunity to catch up on some sports, but again, no go. We (reluctantly) called the gatehouse for some advice. They technician looked at the setup, and told E to press the red button behind the TV that overrides the antenna. Voila! Mystery solved, with E feeling only a little sheepish. π

Mostly, the last couple of days have been about golf, pickleball, bike rides, and a surprising number of trips to Lowe’s. We played Hilton Head National, Port Royal (Barony course), Indian Run (Golden Bear course), and Oyster Reef. With loads of gator sightings, we left a few water balls as βlostβ. π

Today, E had a fantastic, memorable golf shot. From 162 yards out, he put the ball in the hole for an eagle!

The eagle needed a celebration, so we stopped in at The Crazy Crab and enjoyed post-golf treats on the waterfront.

We’re off tomorrow, with some great Hilton Head memories to take with us.
