Diane: Rivière-du-Loup to Home

I enjoy a warm, gentle breeze, listening to water lapping the beach. Less so, did I enjoy our last 48 hours in Cavendish, with single-digit temperatures, 70 km/hr, tree-bending wind gusts, and big whitecaps crashing into the shoreline. Troopers that we are, we golfed the first day, but declared the next one “an indoor day”. 😙

The day we left P.E.I., we were up pre-dawn to be at Confederation Bridge early, when the forecast predicted lower winds. The bridge had been closed occasionally the previous day due to the high winds. Once across, we started our last leg home, breaking the trip up with a day in Rivière-du-Loup, which has nice walking and biking along the St. Lawrence River.

As I write this, we’re a rainy couple of hours away from the lake. (Excellent driving under tough conditions again, E). We’ll clean up and clear out the RV before heading back to Ottawa.

This was a short, but great trip. I’ve seen E working on a rough plan for the next one, and I’m excited about our next adventure together.
