We headed out on Wednesday morning to bike in the park. We did the complete Park Loop Road of 44 kms, covering the beautiful shoreline and mountain cliffs, as well as the interior forest. We could have made better time, but photo opps of the scenic views were too spectacular to pass up. Here’s one, but it doesn’t do the actual view any justice. You’re better to check the park website.

So, E’s default downhill speed is supersonic. I trail behind. After one descent, I turned the last corner and ahead of me, I see E zipping along, with one foot unclipped and floating out to the side. He’s weaving all over the road, more often on the wrong side of the center line than the right one. He’s holding his phone above his head, and, I assume, taking pictures. He has no fear, and is completely absorbed in enjoying the present moment. Gotta love that kind of approach to life.
