Wheelin' and Rockin' with DIanE

So…as many of you know there was a specific incident on the test trip a bunch of years ago that had a significant impact on the trip…and not in a positive way and it put me in a position where, strategically, I didn’t think it wise to talk about integrating RV’ing of any sort into our future. During our stop in Cavendish on that trip, the sewer backed up…it was not pleasant.

Yesterday was the first time I had to flush the “black” tank. It may have not needed it but I wanted to take the “safe rather than sorry” route until I have this whole thing nailed. The process is quite simple but you need to follow it properly. I did have Di helping so that I could monitor a couple of things. I wont go into all the details but I got the proper hook ups done and we started the processes….all was going well until the pipe fell off the support and Di informs me the flow has slowed…but the valve from the tank was still open…my inside voice says ‘oh oh! Yikes!’….I fumble with the pipe and get it back on the support then my calmer outside voice says ‘ I am going to check something’….I calmly walk around the front of the rig and then dart up the stairs and head for the bathroom, checking the little entrance way as I go…low and behold all is good…phewwwww. I go back outside and state ‘ everything happening as it should’. From then on it went perfectly smoothly and it was another lesson in the books with no ill effect.😊

On a completely other note…there are some huge rigs and significant set ups you see. Some of these motorhome units go for $1-$2 M😯

This morning went on my first bike ride along the Cape Cod Rail Trail, a very nice paved trail through wooded areas. Di has been cycling more than me….a surprise to no one. Tomorrow is a day on the beach and then to Bar Harbour Monday morning.
