Diane: Hyannis

This morning, we headed out to Hyannis. It’s a pretty port town, although there’s a surprising lack of coffee shops open before 11:00 a.m. Once properly caffeinated, we went to the John F. Kennedy Museum. This is a very small museum that took about 30 minutes to tour, but was well worth the visit.

We were back home early in the afternoon, and E did some ‘operational’ work dealing with what I’ll call the ‘plumbing systems’. There are a few types of colour-coded tanks, along with colour-coded pipes that correspond to their respective tanks, except when, for some specific purpose, they don’t. Also, there are extensions for all pipes, Y-connectors and valves–lots, and lots of valves, some of which stay open, some stay closed and, mysteriously, others that only close two days before we head out. You get the picture. It’s complicated. Weeks before our trip, E spent serious time learning how to run all of this. I really appreciate it because I know that when I turn on a tap, I’m getting the right kind of water. 😁

Another bike ride for me on some beautiful trails:

Stay posted, Diane
